MISSION #2: Invent your future self.
Who will you be in 2019? Fill out your survival profile to create your future identity. Remember: have fun, but keep it real! Don't invent a fictional character. We want to know who you really think you might be in 2019…
MISSION #3: Discover the Superthreats.
Watch the breaking news reports from the future to find out what the year 2019 might be like on planet Earth. Watch one, or watch them all… they take just 3 minutes each.
MISSION #4: Adopt a Superthreat.
You've watched the Superthreat videos. Now it's time to really immerse yourself! Pick any of the five Superthreats, and start investigating the future. Visit one of the five Superthreat hubs:
At each hub, you'll find a full Superthreat report, plus tons of stories, discussions and videos. You'll also meet the community leaders, and find out what other players are saying about it. When you know all about one Superthreat, adopt another!
MISSION #5: Tell us a Superthreat story.
You've picked a Superthreat. Now help us see the future through your eyes. Use the "Tell a story" form to write about what you're doing to survive or tackle your superthreat, in the year 2019. We want to hear all the juicy details about your 2019 family, your 2019 friends, your 2019 co-workers, your 2019 school, or your 2019 city. If you're feeling really creative, go beyond text! Use the "tell a story form" to submit a link to a 2019 photos, videos, podcasts, flash animations, or something interactive… there are no limits to where or how you tell your Superstruct story.
MISSION #6: Search for allies.
To re-invent society, we'll have to work together. Browse the database of Super-Empowered Hopeful Individuals (SEHIs) to find out who else is playing, and what they care about. When you find someone interesting, send them a private message and introduce yourself!
MISSION #7: Start Superstructing.
Superstructing is the most important part of the game. It's how we'll design the future we want to live in. On your own or with your new SEHI allies, you can join a superstructure, or you can invent a brand new superstructure. Use our Superstruct form to propose an organization unlike any you've ever seen or heard of before. It should be big, and it should be different! The superstructures live on wikis, and other players will be able to add ideas and help make your superstructure stronger. So don't be shy. Share your most original solution for saving the world, one (or more!) Superthreat at a time!
SUPERSTRUCT SECRETS:
Here are our top tips for becoming an amazing Superstruct player.
•Make it believable! We want to imagine what the future might REALLY be like. So always make your best guess about what could actually happen in the year 2019. Superstruct isn't about fantasy or off-the-wall science-fiction. It's about the world we might really live in someday. So have fun and use your imagination – but make it believable, too.
•Remember to rave! As you explore Superstruct, you'll notice that you can "rave" other players' stories, discussions, and superstructures. When you "rave" something, it means you like it, or you think it's really interesting. Raving helps other players find the best and most interesting content. The more something is raved, the higher it appears in search results. And the top-raved content daily will be featured on the home page and the Superthreat hubs.
•Borrow our 21st Century Ideas! Need help fleshing out the details of your Superstruct stories? Browse our Most Important 21st Century Ideas blog. You'll learn about the most influential new technologies and innovations that change how we live and do work in the year 2019.
