Superstruct: Trust and CareThe pandemic of Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ReDS) sweeping our world is a catalyst for the breakdown of social trust in 2019.  Without social trust we encounter many other issues, such as discrimination, accusations, threats, and blaming.  The spread of a disease such as ReDS is a huge threat to human survival.  In the face of this threat individuals become defensive and often violence erupts.  Those who are often forgotten in times of crises such as this are the children.  Where do the children of the sufferers of this disease go? Who do they trust? Who can teach them tolerance and prevention? Where do child sufferers of the disease go if they are abandoned?The aim of this Superstruct is to give those children a safe place to go.  It will consist of nurses who can care for those that are suffering from ReDS or other diseases and don't have access to healthcare.  It will consist of volunteers who will care for the young, provide activities, meals, and a warm place to stay.  We will communicate with social workers in finding permanent homes for these children or finding other resources they may need, such as medication, treatments, etc.            Childhood is a time of identity development.  With the threat of this disease and the devastation it is causing there is an extraordinary need for positive influences in their lives.  Our Superstruct will give those children a place where they can feel welcomed and where they can grow and develop positive self concepts.  A positive self concept is a survival tool in the state that the world is in today.  We will promote this Superstruct by targeting schools and hospitals.  We will let them know through presentations and verbal communication who we are and what we are striving to do.  We will also collaborate with national relief agencies, agencies such as the Red Cross, and perhaps large companies to get the supplies needed to serve our clients.The role of our organization that we created, will include so cal girl 22 and stacytaylor15  as  two of the many nurses caring for the children.  We will provide medical care, immunizations, and psychosocial care.  We will advocate for this program in the hospitals to attain the supplies we may need.  We will use our communication skills to assess the children and what their needs are and to help them develop a positive self concept by including them and showing them that people do care for them. This organization  will not only help children face the super threat of quarantine, but it will provide personal and professional care to help these kids feel that they have worth in our society in 2019.
